A flavourful Tempranillo blend, (Tempranillo 80%, Garnacha 15%, Mazuelo and Graciano 5%), made only in exceptional vintages. 2008 had optimal vineyard conditions. Made from hand-harvested grapes, this wine was aged in American oak barriques for 5 years, with further bottle aging. Intense ruby red with lighter rims. Beautifully fragrant, with mainly cherry, tobacco and sandlewood. The fullbodied palate reflects the nose and adds cedar, oak, leather, vanilla and herbal hints. Extra dry, tannins present but balanced, along with mouthwatering acidity. Lingering cherry, sandlewood and tobacco finish. Enjoy now or cellar for up to a further 10 years. Superb pairing with lamb, game or dark chocolate desserts. 92/93 pts.
