Vino de la Tierra de Castilla, Spain
What's in a name? A lot, when you are shopping for a new wine to try. Along with the visual appeal of an elegant label and the pretty pale peach colour, this name caught my eye and made me wonder, "why not try this one?" I'm so glad I did, because it's fragrant, quite light and refreshing, with summery flavours of fresh cherries and strawberries and a crisp hint of lime.
This mediumbodied vegan Rosé is made in Spain's Castilla region, by the multi-award winning Reserva de la Tierra Winery. Made from two of my favourite Spanish grape varietals, Tempranillo and Garnacha.
It's just right for sipping on the patio or pairing with olives, hard cheeses or grilled garlic shrimp. There's excellent value per bottle and I will definitely buy this one again. 89/90 pts.
