Truly the most delicious Cab Franc I've ever tasted. Crafted from hand-harvested and hand-selected grapes, for maximal fruit expression. Opaque deep ruby/bordeaux colour and highly perfumed with cassis, red bell pepper, fennel, anise, basil and a local wild grass(jarilla). Intense layered palate is silky smooth, with soft tannins and lingering anise on finish. This wine is bursting with flavour and is very much a food wine. So glad I bought 2 bottles! Pair with your favourite beef dishes, rack of lamb or game. I discovered this wine at an excellent winetasting event hosted by Stem Wine Group at the #OttawaArtGallery. Stem tastings are always amongst my favourite wine events.
